In 2022 we were delighted to get back on the stage after two years of COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. We started rehearsals for this production in July 2021 but unfortunately had to postpone due to the uncertainty around the ongoing restrictions. Happily many of our cast were able to rejoin us the following year and we headed back to the rehearsal room in July 2022 .
We were almost stymied again when in October the Seymour township, and both of our rehearsal and storage spaces, were inundated by floods. We lost many of our costumes and sets but thanks to much hard work from our committee and supporters we were able to continue with final preparations for Annie.
Congratulations to our incredibly talented cast and creative team – all the hard work certainly paid off. Enormous thanks to our army of hardworking crew behind the scenes for helping to make sure everything on stage was so seamless. Big shout out also to the SPW committee who supported this production through a global pandemic and a flood and never gave up. And finally, thank you to our wonderful audiences and supporters.
