Howe Family Scholarship

Performing Arts Scholarship Opportunity

The Seymour Performers Workshop is delighted to announce applications are now open for the Howe Family Scholarship, an annual scholarship established to provide access to professional training in the performance arts for young people within the Mitchell Shire.

The Scholarship has been made possible through the generosity of Clinton Howe and family and will enable the recipient to attend a mid-year short course at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in Melbourne.  The recipient will have access to a week long NIDA-Open winter course in either Musical Theatre or Acting.

Mr Howe said, “Through this Scholarship we hope to continue to develop the strong theatre community in the Mitchell Shire and inspire our young people to pursue their dreams in the Arts.   We have chosen NIDA due to its national recognition for excellence and SPW for its ongoing commitment to the arts within the Mitchell Shire, to help us deliver this Scholarship”.

Applications are open to secondary school students aged 16+ who are residents of the Mitchell Shire. Applications close on Friday 10 April 2020.
